This story was so much unlike most wuxia stories, in which merely visiting the toilet would account as a capital offense against any noble in a 300 meter radius. This shit is just stupid, we're already aware that the MC is stronk and capable, it's interesting enough without having someone test the MC's strength at every given chance.

That's exactly why this completely random act of extreme aggression is so bizarre.
It's not a Chinese story, but Korean. And yes, there's a big difference there. Koreans tend to have silly levels of interpersonal melodrama, while the Chinese have fatalistic, unfair worlds which tries to kill the MC at every given turn. Why is a Korean writer operating like a Chinese writer? That's beyond me.
