"Clinging to a hope I didn't want" What does that even mean? He clearly wants to go back to living as a human, and has hope to do so. How is that "hope he does not want"?
From what I can see for the moment, the first chapter is kind of stupid. So we get a little exposition, and we're explained that he had a shitty life. He was poor, bad at his job, uneducated and in a situation so unstable, that he immediately became reckless at the first glimmer of the slightest chance to make a bit of money, didn't even think and got killed. And now that his situation is "I turned into an undead", his first thoughts are attempting to go back to his previous lifestyle, which by the way will now be far harsher on him since it's really not suited for his new condition.
Also, why is that other skeleton immediately being aggressive? We already saw that they don't attack each other and are sometimes in groups, so I hope we'll get a reasonable explanation for that in the future, but for now, I suppose he isn't recognized as a fellow monster by the others.
It's sad because it has a really interesting premise, it could make for a great story yet we get the already overused plot of "I want to live back into society and will achieve it chapter 20"
PS: How in hell would anyone get fooled and mistake a ghoul for a human just because it's hidden under clothes... I mean, think for at least 2 damn seconds before creating a stupid plan...
