The other chapter, I was wondering about this girl. Her brother appeared once, searching for her, but the story never got back to her.

Maybe the author is trying for an awkwardly realistic approach? MC initially planned to utilize the restaurant owner for his transactions, but he changed his mind I guess. Either that or he never intended to "collect" the debt the restaurant owner owed him. He's a good guy after all.
