in the first few chapter, they said "her father and the mistress"
by mistress I only assume a lover/second wife.....because if it's the lady of the house, "the madam" would be more fitting.

Excuse me the fuck? Can we try "Fired him, got his teaching license revoked, and put him before a court for sexually harassing minors"?
No wonder they had a teacher like that in the first place if this is how unseriously they're taking it.

Considering it's Japan, it's surprising the man got more than a stern warning. I suppose it must be because the victims included one of the "12 families".

I mean, I saw that it was MTL, but... uh...
That was really hard to follow.
From what I understand, having dealt with a lot of school stuff in Japan, this was a crazy harsh punishment for his actions; sure, he committed theft, assault, and possibly crippled her for life; but she's a woman, and under 19.
In the case of a minor being assaulted, the adult is automatically correct; in the case of theft, the adult is automatically correct.
In the case of them both being adults, the male is automatically correct; and if both are male, the one who conforms to societal norms is automatically correct.
Only when all of those things are equal is a person judged by their income and family standing... and under virtually NO circumstances is the person judged by their actions; actions and/or facts aren't considered to be important in most cases.
This is normal for about 85% of all nations on planet Earth,
