@furn_ace But in the original timeline, it was already implied that Tia was the kingmaker. She was the one who planned everything and manipulated people to put Lawrence in power. The other characters were just greedy and too complacent in the authority they held which was what allowed her to get the better of them. So it's not as if the "bad guys" here were smart in the first place.

@marikonen
I was expecting an above average level intelligence, since they did managed to betray her. But no, Lawrence and his mother are completely retarded.
The worst thing about this, is that they're the only actual bad guys around (aside from the King who is also retarded), and they're already losing.

What's left to do after they've been defeated?
Prancing around happily ever after like Hourglass?
That seems to be where this is going.

@Radlife

litle by litle some people start to remember the first timeline, at first just some servant but the main cast too.
Tia will be kidnapped by someone who remember and know that she is the one who put Lawrence in the throne and want that she work for him

I guess the mother considers Tia as her backup in case Lawrence fails. But then she shouldn't treat her like that.

I think Lawrence's problem in this case is that since Tia was born, he has no legal standing in the marquis property. She trumps him because she is a legitimate child, so naturally she gets the property despite be younger and a girl. Lawrence literally dosen't have a dollar or coin so to say to his name. If he were to fail to get the throne he would literally have to depend on Tia's good will to live in the future. Their mother no matter what can't just take Tia inheritance and give aways because by rights it not hers either ,since she married into the family.

Testing your own staff to see if they'll give in to corruption... with your tacit permission... is certainly, well, something.

I would not want her as an employer, though she makes one hell of a protagonist.

Her mother might have something wrong in the head. She’s foolish and selfish. Lawrence is a complete nightmare on the other hand. Bratty kid. Tia grew up twisted because of these people but at least she had a second chance.
I’m really glad that she met the Duke. She’ll finally be truly happy.

@blueoddog that and combination of bipolar as well. One moment she is ok but then she has her attacks. sometimes it is "mild" and on another ones it is brutal. Once she calms down she would ask for forgiveness and tenderly care for her child.

It is amazing how much the the pressure of high society has impacted her. Only after having a very traumatic event [ probably was close to or died and came back to life when she gave birth] that her bipolar inclination kicked in.

ah nice to see that they're dysfunctional.

tbh, straight up, ma seems to have BPD, just going off her periods of her brutally violent behaviour, severe abandonment anxiety, unstable relationships, etc.

meanwhile lawrence is??? super interesting idk it's like. clearly his parents failed in raising him responsibly, but he's also abusive in his own way. i'm curious about lawrence though, if he'll have any character development for the better, and/or if he was always like this since he was a kid.
