Maybe the translation is something along the lines of “The novel isn’t as simple as it seems/can’t trick me, the author must be doing this on purpose for they are part of a time traveler group (or is one)” or “The novel isn’t fooling anyone, if your [artist] here, that means the author is likely to be time traveler as well” maybe?

I think hong chi is saying that she won't let the novel take advantage of her

危 = danger
人群 = crowd
the author that has transmigrated is dangerous

basically hong chi thinks that shangxue has useful/powerful information that wasn't included in the story which can help them complete her goals/escape the plot.
