Hmm. I wonder what's going on with Oscar? "Returning her favor"?

Y'know, I was kinda looking forward to Aria breaking down and showing a bit of her true self instead of acting and being manipulative. Instead, we swung hard into the latter two, but...well, it works out for revenge.

He seems nice. I wonder what happened to him in her first life?

Im pretty sure this action confirmed it for Mielle that Aria is doing this on purpose.

@ekattor reason why their friendship doesnt last;
Oscar being overwhelmed by his sister because his sister is soon to be crown princess has to follow whatever she says, she basically is forcing Oscar to be with Mielle since Mielle is the daughter of a count and Oscar's sister doesnt want him to be close to "a daughter of a prostitute" Aria. He's a useless man who obeys every word that comes out his sister's mouth sadly

Ahhhh! Go Aria! You accidentally made yourself a great opportunity!

She looked so pretty. No wonder he can’t stop staring at her and is blushing.

It’s very amusing seeing how unhappy he is with the gift from Millie. And that he’s well aware of the trickery the siblings have been doing behind his back.

Right, when I first read the novel, I figured that Oscar would try to do something in order to stay with Aria but he really does bend over backwards really easily once his sister threatens that she'll harm Aria if he continues to pursue her. Taking into consideration that he's supposed to be the next Duke, I figure put up a bit of a fight at the very least.
Ultimately, seeing as Mielle ends up ditching him herself to try to bat her eyelashes at someone more influential, you can tell that she never truly loved him and was solely looking for ways to make herself be superior to everyone else.

Rather than a second ML, I ultimately coined him to be more of a red herring ML. Since, the story does lead you on into thinking that he's the ML while, in fact, it's someone else.

Really, the farther I got into the story, the more I thought him to be utterly spineless for someone who's supposed to be the next duke.

This girl like to drop her fork or what?

Any man would fall for Aria if you see her crying in front of you lol.
