To people that says that Aria character is horrible. You need to take to account the environment that she grow up and what would happened to her in the future. She needs to do that to survive and everybody in her vicinity was also manipulative so she really don't know how to behave differently. Just remember that her stepsister wants to murder her.
Also to some degree I think it is defensive mechanism, she is afraid of being betrayed so she actively try to distance herself from others. It's a mask, just look at her reaction when she received the gift from her teacher, I don't think it wasn't genuine.
Moreover, it's more interesting this way, not everybody in a manga needs to be a sweet, naive and a good person. The characters written like that are just more interesting and less generic.
To be honest it is more believable this way, when the character of Villainess doesn't change that much than a situation when the Villainess' character do 180 after the reincarnation.
