To people that says that Aria character is horrible. You need to take to account the environment that she grow up and what would happened to her in the future. She needs to do that to survive and everybody in her vicinity was also manipulative so she really don't know how to behave differently. Just remember that her stepsister wants to murder her.

Also to some degree I think it is defensive mechanism, she is afraid of being betrayed so she actively try to distance herself from others. It's a mask, just look at her reaction when she received the gift from her teacher, I don't think it wasn't genuine.

Moreover, it's more interesting this way, not everybody in a manga needs to be a sweet, naive and a good person. The characters written like that are just more interesting and less generic.

To be honest it is more believable this way, when the character of Villainess doesn't change that much than a situation when the Villainess' character do 180 after the reincarnation.

I really like how they kept the manhwa consistent and concise with the novel. After finishing the novel, my blood boils now whenever I saw Oscar here...

Anyway, for those who are complainiing about Aria’s character, think the situation in her perspective. She grew up in that toxic environment. People rarely change in a snap of a finger. Let Aria redeem herself slowly and be a better person as the story goes. As compare to mielle

Especially after abandoning Aria. I get that he’s basically a “decoration” but he has no balls whatsoever. I am glad they didn’t end up together. Aria is too good for him.

Mielle came when the party was almost over and Aria didn’t had the hourglass because maybe she didn’t think that a small party wasn’t something so potentially dangerous and didn’t want to carry the hourglass itself, so after this incident she decided to keep it the case and carry it around wherever she goes

I can’t agree with you saying that Aria didn’t mature after reborn. She really did mature and quite a lot. Before she was just a leech sucking the money of counts, didn’t eat vegetables(bc of their taste), or study properly. In general she was just spoiled rotten ungrateful brat. Throwing the tantrums and wasting the money as she pleased was every so common for her. The real issue was her environment after she was adopted to counts family. It was so toxic, no one from her family stopped her nor lectured her. Father/Count didn’t bother to make fair relationships between his children and Aria, after bringing them in the family. And she died by the hands of her stepsister, who framed her for many crimes and pretended to be the victim. How all of this could not affect her?
But after reborn she became more smart cunning and quick witted in order to survive in there.
Yeah, we can’t say that she was nice and fair in her previous life, but she wasn’t the villainess either. She died being innocent. But know she can punish the real evils, because they will do their evil deeds now too. Aria has the triumphant cart called knowing some events of future, though she doesn’t has the full grasp of every details.

He basically has no agency and is just a puppet for his sister (likely the lady acting as Mirielle's sponsor in the debut when Aria had that flashback)

In fact he's so much of a puppet that when his family was executed, he's the only one survived (demoted to commoner, which he's fine with) because he was just a decorative head.

Though, I'd like to say,

I called the prince being the male lead when the tulip scene happened.

He seem like someone who can see Aria for who she truly is and still accept her for it.

Not to mention Aria's mindset seem very fitting to be a Queen.
She return favors with favors. (the newspaper kid, the old man who fixed the hourglass)
She return wrongs with cold, calculated fury.
She make use of the useful. (Sarah)
She make something from the useless (the knights), but doesn't get attached and will discard them if they become a hindrance.
She knows of politics and know how to keep calm in emergencies.

No they aren’t siblings. As a matter of fact as we head deeper in the story we’ll eventually find out who is Aria’s biological father and what happened to him. Don’t worry it’s a happy ending though.

If you think being a "villainess" means you have to be mean to everyone or manipulate them I ask: "What is wrong with you?".

Rapists have friends. Killers have friends. A lot of sickos have people whom they cherish and would never drag down. And I mean real life ones. But sure, thinking that this fictional character is overdoing it by being a bitch to everyone makes us the weirdos.

I can’t remember the exact details, but basically after this, Aria will ask Oscar to be her penpal. If he really cares about his engagement in the first place, he could’ve said no to Aria right there and then but no, our trophy boi just went along with it. Then all of a sudden he cut the communication between them. In short, he ghosted her.

All throughout the story, he is useless, just what like someone commented here. He has no balls to standup against his sister and his family.
