@Remedil In visual stories like comics/manga/webtoons/etc. the placement of speech bubbles matters. If Ashe was mad about the idea of having to make a new law, then the speech bubble where Vica talks about it would've been on the panel (or right next to the panel) where Ashe is shown mad. But it isn't. Instead, on the panel where Ashe is angry, Vica's speech bubble clearly talks about catching the culprit of the tax scheme.

I do admit that Ashe was a bit annoyed about the idea of having to make a new law - which is shown by him slighlty crumpling the papers he's holding on the panel where he says it's a pain - but otherwise he's pretty level headed about it. He only loses his cool the moment Aria, aka the schemer, is brought into the convo.

Wait I'm confused... in one of the last panels she takes off a hairnet and places a wig on a mannequin, but neither she nor her maid were wearing that wig at any point? Were we to assume she had worn that wig but she was drawn with her normal blonde hair so we could recognize her? Its definitely her hands because you can see the ribbon on her wrist in both panels.

Well, actually jk, she just took the wig off, there on the panels you posted you can see she took off a hair net used to hide the hair under the wig. In other words it was skipped sinced it was going to be repetetive otherwise.
('m actually surprised how many people haven't figured that out. I mean at first I thought something is not right, like what she is gonna wear it or not? But the hair net and the fact she already has enough money meant it was used already. It took like 5 seconds to figure it out I guess (including reading the panel) so... yea weird 🤔

Nah, actually remember she was using it every time to harass mielle, and she loved doing that and even suspected it drains her lifespan but said it's worth it to make her suffer, lol. 🤣

@Remedil my guess is the assistant kept it secret since knowledge of this wouldn't help the prince much and it would just make him a bit(?) angry at Aria? 🤔 or maybe @BitterBlackBeans is right and he knows but wants to protecc her 😅

@BitterBlackBeans yeah I forget it all the time, about the placement and order of reading but honestly the authors are the only ones to blame.
One manga it is strictly up to down to left to right, another it is left to right or right to left, no matter how high it is (otherwise the sentence or context doesn't make sense) so I usually don't stick to one rule and keep it as flexible rule (one I forget often) and then I lose some of the context like this detail, lol.
(And yes I know japanes is right to left, korean left to right. I mean that top-down is not always a priority for them and sometimes topmost bubble is the last because it's most to the left/right 🙁)

@littlegrey Aria most probably went to the casino without any wig the first few times. However, after being chased by gamblers in the casino, she must have decided to disguise herself so they cannot recognize her and went to the casino again.

Shame we didn't get to see her disguised though

What's wrong with him saying "she stands too much wearing a mask only"? He says that before she decides to wear a wig after all.

this manhwa is so good and the art just makes it 100x better. i've read a bit of the novel, but i don't mind rereading what happens in the manhwa too just because of how gorgeous the art is. it really brings the story to life

The guard dude with hair over his eyes looks a lot like the kid Aria hung out with when she was poor in earlier chapters. Similar hair at least.

I recommend people to read the novel. It's already fully translated and it already ended. There so many things the manhwa cannot show cus of limited panels but if you guys are curious of their actions in the manhwa and why they do this and that and why they make that kind of expression and say, the novel actually covers all that. If I didn't read the novel before reading this, I'd probably get confuse at their actions.

Just like here, Asher knew it was Aria who provided the idea to her father. That's why he's pissed, not to Aria, but her intelligence can also cause him many problems xD it kinda mentioned it in the novel so I knew. And he got mad at the guy because he's talking about catching and teaching Aria. He didn't want that lol.

Also, Aria uses her hour glasses more than the manhwa shows. She uses them many time to taunt Mielle lol.

It was a little iffy at first, with just petty plots, but this story has become quite good.

and thinking about it, it makes sense. Right after you literally get tortured and killed, you're not gonna be able to think about much other than immediate revenge satisfaction. But now seeing her carry out bigger plans and stuff is cool.

I think I can see how the ending is gonna unfold. Im betting she overuses the clock and her beauty fades, but sweet love struck prince will love her anyways at that point. I thought this series would be different, but I guess its marching towards a similar shoujo ending. I mean, I don't hate that, but I thought this would be a different type of novel, about scheming, like with Oscar. Oh well, I guess I will have to start reading with the cliche shoujo novel mindset from now on.
