@Kabeidon_ I get where you're coming from but I'm not really sure how it applies here, since the thing she killed is basically some animal and this series never struck me as particularly serious. The MC totally thinks it is, but she's already got at least one foot in the same realm as that other reincarnated villainess MC who accidentally made herself a harem out of basically the entire male and female cast of the game she had played, and is too dense to notice she already broke every flag and planted entirely new ones.

Yeah she used slugs.
In the WN, it was mentioned that she loaded slug rounds. The first shot is also a slug round aimed at the torso but the charging gryphon's head got in the way,.

Also to make sure that it was dead, she fired two rounds at the head, until the brain spilled out.
