Thank you for the chapter! I still can't get over how much of a bad idea it is to gift them stolen items. Let's pretend for moment that everything went as Duke Hessman wanted. Let's pretend he was dealing with the real couple, the couple had no contact with Isaac and didn't know him personally, and everything somehow went perfectly for Hessman and exactly how he actually planned. What would be do if, in the future, the magic tower saw foreign nobility with stolen items? If the magic tower approached the real couple and said "Hey, those are ours! They were stolen from us, we want them back!" What would happen? The couple would immediately have a worse opinion of Duke Hessman for daring to pass them stolen goods and lying about being capable of creating such items, as well daring to insult them by giving them stolen property! Even if everything went perfectly for Hessman here and there was no infiltration happening, how in the world is he expecting ANY of this to end well by essentially getting VIPs involved in a crime???

The obvious loophole in the confidentiality contract is that it only covers items other than those gifted to them. So picking items that are themselves evidence - that are then gifted to them - are unfettered by the contract.

Or the signatures are the wrong names. So it's possible the people they're disguised as may or may not be bound by the contract, who knows with magic, but they might not be because invalid signatures.
