ughhh the mushroom head is so annoying, i was hoping he was going to die in the middle of battle. i really want Kay to have a different love interest, like the boss for example

watanabe is actually pretty cool imo. granted, i'm a sucker for weak guys in love with crazy/badass girls @owlette

this chapter definitely makes up for the sucky chapter before it TT^TT the interesting interior design, bulletproof wig, cool female boss that's bad at cooking but values her cooking knives, and the wimpy kid who isn't a whiner.

i think it's just that i've been conditioned to dislike these type of weak male side characters because i always felt like their purpose was for the audience to relate to them (the audience being assumed to be the typical "loser anime fan"), especially when they receive attention from cool female characters. idk how to explain it properly but it always rubbed me the wrong way

that aside, though. i definitely see where you're coming from, and i hadn't considered the "relatable" aspect of these character types when they're introduced. in this case, he doesn't seem to have a huge part in the story/detract from the original point of the story, so i don't think him serving as a way for the audience to relate is the point of him existing. it doesn't even really matter since he wasn't introduced in such a way that relating is important. the story is still about kei and her job as a part-time hitman, and i hope it stays that way oooo:

you've read more than me (specific to this series and manga in general it seems), so idk if he has a bigger role later on, but i doubt it by the looks of how things are based on the chapter after this and chapters before.

@owlette Think of how ridiculously overused it is to have a clueless weak female love interest for the the generic, badass, and typically edgy male lead. You're reasonable, but a lot of male anime fans completely lose it when the male MC is actually realistic or humanly weak since they just want the fantasy of an impeccable male who just naturally attracts the largest breasts in a 20 mile radius.

When Boss is shaking Wig's wig, I thought a bunch of food was coming out of it and then floating around before realizing it was part of the walls.

Also, in the panel when Kei kicks the gun out of the guy's hand before taking the knife, the knife is missing from Watanabe's hand until she takes it in the following panel?
