Hope this'll be the part where he shows off his strength to some extent so he'll get to stay around the heroine. This story was one of the first times a hero story genuinely gave me a sick feeling to the stomach from the hero being forced away from their normal life by government pressure rather than a proper call to action and intrinsic, personal motivation. So I hope we'll at least be spared from the usual "You're not worthy of the hero(ine)!" political marriage nonsense.
Yeah... Stories like this can't be done in <10 page increments. That only really works for SoL/comedy stuff, or nonsensical whatever plots. Having it in an isekai that needs lots of character/world building just makes it feel way too dragged out and too slow. Slow burner? More like the fucking flame isn't even on and it's in the freezer.
So did the wolves used long-ranged attacks or simply hid after knocking out the coachman?
It doesn't make sense. Like how the knights are only positioned behind and with no one ahead.
@KazutoKatsuragi This is just a fantasy, not isekai even if it feels like one. Nothing has really happened in the last 3 chapters though, just the hero reading his letter.
