@joshguy i mean... depending on the time, and a few factors, YES a single piece of jewelry costing 2 nights at an inn with meals can be considerd expensive, it costing 2 days of living expenses would not, but 2 days at an inn sure can be considerd expensive

@Zero101 But it's the difference between "luxury" and "necessity". Inns and food can make a more consistent profit, because everyone needs them so they can afford to charge less. However Jewelry is a luxury, so it likely won't sell often meaning they typically cost quite a bit. Normally that neckless would be too expensive for the average commoner to buy on a whim.

However, this is a fictional world so maybe the author didn't deemed this logic worthy of existing there.

@joshguy the thing is, a inn isnt something everyone needs, and from the view of a normal "commoner" 2 days worth of lodging and food IS luxury, it may not be much for the nobels etc.

it was never stated whatever the Necklace was "expensive" in general or "expensive" from his point of view iirc
