The writer probably had one idea in mind, but the artist went in a completely different direction lol. The thing is, Flamberge already has this cool fiery look with its unique curves. They could have taken inspiration from that and added their own twist, like how "Swords of Fate" did (appeared while I was searching). I mean, they didn't have to copy it exactly, but at least get some inspiration and make sure it still looks like a flamberge. Instead, it turned into something unrecognizable.
