From what I gathered up to this point is that she acts like a bitch because she has no backing in the Palace which that advisor from when she was young taught her. To be honest its the most effective means to protect herself without a backing as everyone is afraid to mess with her. Also, do to a traumatic childhood she became mentally unstable when she sleeps so she tries to hide it.
And then we have Eon who didn't understand her reactions to him when she was younger was her not knowing how to respond to her emotions and believes that she's just a violent person. However has feelings for her because of the time they spent together as kids and that he subconsciously knows she truly loves him.
