Wow, MC actually has a spine and common fucking sense. He's right tho, She didn't like him, she loved "Dark knight sensei" and transfered whatever admiration and obsession she had for the idea of the "Dark knight" onto him.

It's a confusing case of lust and admiration. She fell in love with the idea she had of him while neglecting his other abhorrent flaws, namely his immense insecurity and self loathing. I'm glad he atleast had the spine to notice where she was coming from and not play a part in the delusion she wanted.

A ton of character growth this chapter. MC is still an ovulating vagina tho

Looks wise I like the smoll girl. Personality wise I dislike both of them, as the big booba girl is kinda "to strong" for me, thou with my shyness maybe thats what I need? No, it's not clear that she likes him. It's clear that she's an expert manipulator though. But deep inside she's as insecure as him, if not more: "I love doing it with someone who hasn't had their first time yet. Because people never forget their first- who was it or when it was, or where it happened" Amatella said in ch 20. It's clear that she's got some serious issues as well.

Honestly me too. I didn't think he had this sort of maturity, self-reflection, and empathy in him. I feel like the night with Azusa changed him on a fundamental level here, where it's like he suddenly is able to see the things he was missing before. Pointing out that Ametella fell in love with Dark Knight Sensei is a seriously solid insight. I didn't think he had that shit IN him.

I’d be hard pressed to call her a manipulator? Looking at her actions objectively and disregarding MC’s internal monologue, she just likes the dude. Like she wants to spend time with him, she gauges his boundaries and either follows them when it’s clear he’s genuinely uncomfortable (stopping the sex because she realized she said the wrong thing in an attempt to reassure) or pushing them a bit if it’s apparent he’s conflicted. She never actually makes the MC do anything he didn’t want to do, just things he was scared to do without a push.

I suspect that Azusa might have been a red herring all along.
