Premise was a lie. Just because in manga Asuza didn't do anything which could really shaken a normal boy. Just some attention and some flirt. But from perspective of our pitiful whiny mc she looks like some maneater.

Objectively yes, she didn’t actually DO anything manipulative or sus, he’s just been spiraling and over analyzing constantly because he has negative self-esteem. The worst she did was show up late to meet him but she could also have been justifiably upset about him lying to her

Yeah sure I liked that the boy grew a spine, but… meh, too fast.

I think many people a sad that they didn't get the pov of Azusa, cause they thought she was manipulative, but in reality, she is not.

I love the moral of the story at least, that two people can love each other even if they are worlds apart externally, cause you never needed looks to love each other (sure you will argue that looks matter, but for how long will you contain a beautiful partner with bad personality), you just needed a personality and common interests.

A lot of people tend to misuse "axe" even when it's clear a manga is winding down and coming to a close just because they dislike that there isn't more. But this really does feel like the prior chapter went out and then the editor came and said "alright, you're done. Wrap it up next time."

One had over 100 chapters to figure out how to land it and was a big, popular name for years.

This one barely got beyond 20 and the crux of it could've probably been condensed into a oneshot.

Er well that was an ending I guess…? It was wholesome and decent. Would’ve preferred a bigger timeskip I think but they are together and having a good time so that’s nice. But the only time she messed with his emotions was when she made him wait.
