The premise didn't deliver. Fumbled hard and didn't connect the dots. It's like watching this good awesome trailer of a movie but when you watch it, it's actually boring and the trailer was the first 20min of the 2hour movie.

Zamn, I didn't expect it to end so soon. But I guess the signs were there.

btw, considering what quitting culture is like in Japan, that took some serious balls what he did, especially a guy like him

At first, I thought it might have been good. I mean, the premise was enticing. But then I thought "hang on a minute, this guy's an asshole," then I thought, "WTF is going on?". Then I finally realised, "Hang on a minute. This shit sucks!"

So yeah... it Sucks

The ending was Rushed, but best girl won so I can’t complain to much.

Everyone is wondering “oh what’s her deal” she just told you. Every little thing where you thought she had secret ulterior motives, that made you think she’s scheming, that made you think there was no way she would like him without having diabolical plans. All of that was just your perception. She really was just a normal girl who likes a boy, and yes she can be a bit of a tease, but her interest was sincere.
That's like saying if all the monologues that Deku had in My Hero Academia about him becoming the "greatest hero" meant that he becomes a teacher who will guide the next generation and that is what makes him a hero...wait a sec...you might be onto something

Objectively yes, she didn’t actually DO anything manipulative or sus, he’s just been spiraling and over analyzing constantly because he has negative self-esteem. The worst she did was show up late to meet him but she could also have been justifiably upset about him lying to her
This is a bit analogous to Bruce Willis's character in The Sixth Sense.
