@Dredcor Bullshit, you can't just override the very concept of manhood which has stood for thousands of years right back to the earliest days of ancient Sumeria up until now with some modern mumbo jumbo about #Equality. House husbands are essentially not viewed as men and that's typically the reason their wives tend to cheat on them or divorce them. That is human psychology whether you like it or not, for men to be considered men they have to be productive.

@So-chan What is so different between men and women that a stay-at-home mother or housewife is okay, but not a father or househusband?

This kind of lacks any impact given that these two have barely talked about anything and they are saying they love eachother already. Dragging out the kiss for this long doesnt help.
This all wouldnt be so shit if it werent just following a trend and following that formula fucking terribly.

Wow, I'd like to know where you got your degrees in World History, Psychology, and Sociology, because I'd like to file a complaint with them for not educating you properly.

@Dredcor It's very simple. A woman cannot respect a man that cannot provide for her and the family. That marriage will not last.

@Dredcor It is the role of the wife to take care of the family and the hearth, it is the role of the husband to provide for the family. It has been this way since time immemorial, and when you try to play with this and mould it to shape your sensibilities families break apart and people start killing themselves. Gender roles came about for a reason, it is how humans work. You don't have to like it, but you also can't change it.

So, no. Also, no. Let me know when either of you have specialized education in this and we can continue this talk, because your knowledge on the subject is sorely lacking.

@Dredcor Have you never read the Epic of Gilgamesh? Or the old tales of King Arthur? Or the old Greek epics? Or the Roman philosophies? They explore the concept of manhood and masculinity very often, and while certain things change here and there the core remains the same: men must provide and be in control of themselves and ensure their children are disciplined and learn the lessons of their elders. You see these themes time and time and time again. You're free to not like it, and you're even free to deny it, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

@AnonymousWeeaboo Stories and philosophers from thousands of years ago aren't exactly experts on Psychology or Sociology.
Get back to me with actual studies or fact-based evidence.

48 days to a wedding?

Or is it going to skip a week later and they're arranging shared accomodation?

@So-chan @AnonymousWeeaboo You two have such conservative views. @Dredcor is totally right. Personally I find the idea of either housewife or househusband unnecessary in modern society, since it's really easy to either work from home among other things, but if we are finding the idea of a housewife acceptable(and historically it is acceptable, since time immemorial), then I see no reason not to accept househusbands. It's the same thing just the other person. A husband could find his wife unattractive as well, if all she does is sitting at home and not being productive.

Hoooo.. Nice.
But why is the page layout like that tho? Somehow make me feel like it's just a simulation in his/her head...

Edit: Btw, it's fun reading 2? specific users' thoughts on proper masculinity(?). I shall come back tomorrow.

@annymousweebo

my wife passed two years ago.

You see, "themes" and "historical portrayals of gender roles" make for great papers, but some of us are in the real world.

I guess there is no one raising my family now. Damn. Too bad these historical ideals of roles can't cook dinner tonight. What will I do?? I must consult a weebo, I guess.

And lets not get into same sex relationship, I'd hate for your brain to explode...
