@MoeMoeKyun Out of all the ML's we've seen so far, I think white-hair mage dude is the best. My first impression of him wasn't good, because he seemed really angry and possessive, but when we got the context of "you need to get magic check-ups so you
don't fucking die, you self-sacrificial idiot" then it makes more sense (and also when we got the context of him just being Bad At Emotions, but still trying). He comes by, he sees her, makes sure she's not gonna die, tells her to visit the capital in six months for a checkup and to visit her father figure, and then heads back. No judgements on her life choices, just nagging about her
life-threatening health condition. Of course, you could say that he's judging her choices regarding her own health, but, like, I think that's a reasonable kind of thing to do for someone you care about? I don't necessarily
want him to end up with her romantically, but I'd be fine if that's where the story goes
I'm lowkey still rooting for the maid, Anna, but a new person would be nice too. Or no one at all, and Clarence and Clive can go traveling to make up for all the years they couldn't spend time together. What kind of person do you think would be good for Clarence, if you were gonna make a character to put in the story as her love interest? I think it'd be nice to have someone who could support Clarence emotionally, but not really physically. All the MLs seem to be able to keep up with her on the battlefield, but
wow are they bad at emotions and emotional support. None of them seem to be naturally nurturing, so Clarence ends up feeling bad when they fuss over her. If she got a love interest who generally takes care of people, then maybe she wouldn't feel so guilty about the care and attention. And if it was someone who wasn't good at fighting, then she'd be the one saving them, and not the other way around
I think one of the problems with the existing MLs is that we don't get to see the development of their relationships with Clarence. We don't get to see a give and take of her helping them, them helping her. We
hear about the things she's done for them, but we only
see the things they do for her, which makes it seem more like they don't think she's capable on her own. It doesn't feel like a partnership, I guess is what I'm saying. I hope that the story will have more times where she's actively helping
them out, to make things seem more even
