I love how stupid and oblivious she can come off as. Unlike in other stories where it comes of as irritating at how dense they are here it works really well because of how eccentric she is. I can totally buy that shes just a bit dense in certain areas and it helps that its also a language difference thing and how secluded she live her life. 10/10 author good job.

@shiho As someone else mentioned in the comments, there's a bit of a language barrier between the empire and the former kingdom she hailed from before it was absorbed. As such, the way they(the people of the empire) pronounce his name is different than how she pronounced his name when she was reading his marriage candidate profile. I'm guessing that Kaleid himself also pronounced it differently to her during the marriage deal than how the announcer did in this chapter, perhaps even on purpose so as to not tip her off to who he really is. Gonna be real awkward when the truth comes out, but given how much of an airhead she is then that's not gonna be for some time if it's not revealed during this banquet.

Why are people just realizing that the FL did not speak the language of the ML. They showed us that when she was finding it difficult to read names and pronounce them.

So far, this webtoon has checked off the majority of the basic shoujo tropes.
- FL is innocent/naive Virgin Ingenue
- Women are Small (ML is drawn huge, while FL is teeny)
- Beauty and the Beast (the ML is portrayed as a predator, FL as prey)
- Damsel in Distress (she needs ML to step in & save her from difficult situations)
And yet....I’m still reading......?? Kaleid is just drawn so pretty though. & the clothing design is beautiful.
