Hinako is really a very unique person. she is both selfish and selfless. she is so selfish that she wants to be reunited with her late family as soon as possible (aka died), but she also selfless that she want Miko to keep smiling and happy to be living together with Shiori, as fellow long lived monster, even after Hinako died, whether she died of aged or Shiori really eat her in the end.
