hello, i want to get into more manga. i'm a very big horror fan and i already know a few staples, but i really want to broaden my tastes. please recommend anything you can think of that is scary, graphic, violent, gross, disturbing, uncomfortable, nasty, etc. if it involves erotica that's fine too

thank you for anyone who sees this!

Well, in that case, it might help if you list what you’ve already read so far.
Have you checked out famous titles like Gannibal and such? Or maybe Manhole, and similar manga for the gross part?
maybe Doubutsu Ningen? Rinjin X?
are you strictly looking for manga or are you open to manhwa like Hell is Other People?
I'm not that satisfied with the ending of Shikabane Kaigo, but I liked the tension.
People often conflate thrillers with horror, so what do you consider counts as one or the other?

i have not seen the ones listed, so thank you very much for these! to tell the truth, i haven't read many different mangas yet as i watched more anime instead. scary-wise, i've only really read the basics, like some of junji's works; i've read tomie, venus in the blind spot, remina, etc. i actually have heard of manhole before but i haven't gotten to checking it out, psychological-wise i've read blood on the tracks and oyasumi punpun. i know my knowledge is a bit limited so bear with me haha

the reason i listed both of those genres in the title was just because i don't mind either one, like i said in the text below i enjoy anything that's scary and i also really enjoy stories with a lot of depth and meaning; for example one of my favorite animes is paranoia agent - and to answer your last question, i see horror as more of a focus on conventionally gross or taboo topics, whereas i see thrillers with more of a focus on the dramatization of life events or creating tension with the reader. thanks again
