I mean, her death was always a little suspicious. We didn't directly see her dying, it cut away from that at the last second. One side had a "missing and presumed dead" approach to it from the start, and the other was acting weird about it all this time without more information being presented to us. The one who was most invested in her on the Lul side, pretty much absent from all of these glimpses we've gotten besides that one minor addition to the battle via flashback. I'd say the problem here with the writing is that they didn't point out he's been fussing over her body the whole time as far as I can recall, just that he was not acting like himself. Just mentioning that now and then bringing up how they're starting to think she isn't even dead is abit too abrupt. At least some of the details should've trickled out into the story earlier.
