i try and translate it how i speak normally(although a bit juiced)
but no the source text doesnt use too much slang outside of nee-san

I honestly prefer it this way, it gives them a local dialect that could easily be told apart from a city-slicker or country-bumpkin

In that case I really, really do think you should tone it down and stay closer the actual text. Not to be rude but the language comes off as very forced into the text. In the latest chapter (197) I'd say it removes some humour intended by the author. I'm really happy you're taking the time to do a proper translation of this work, but it does not need to be "even more funny" than it already is.

but i am kinda self conscious about if i put it on a bit much so idk
