dont know how a misunderstanding lead to all this but what i meant is more or less just keep things to yourself even if you hate a manga. perhaps i exaggerated some parts but seriously. its tiring to always see people downgrading a manga just because it doesnt suit their tastes.

So if you like a manga, it's okay to express your opinion in the comments, but if you don't, it's not?

i made this thread because of people posting useless(not even constructive) criticism which a large majority dont even agree with. like just imagine you enjoying a manga, deciding to check the comments and the first thing you see is criticism which the comments afterwards disagree with and in most cases are just complete 100% opinion and no facts. im not saying people cant have an opinion but i am however saying people shouldn't voice out opinions which dont help anybody and in most cases just cause people stress

I have a simpler solution - don't read the comments.

Non-constructive criticism is bad, sure, but if you wanted a place where ALL criticism is silenced, then just get a time machine and move to the Soviet Union.

never said i wanted a place where all criticism is silenced. well other then that i see your point but i just made this post to start arguments and see where it goes while still(potentially) making the world a slightly better place so i guess you posting a reply is as useless as me posting this thread. also i know people dont care but i never said i cared either.

It's still goes nowhere dawg. The core still same you doesn't want thing get criticized.

And it's definitely help people, when I read comment like that it's help me save time by avoiding the said comic. Why read something you know the outcome. What you think review are for?

perhaps you misunderstood but i meant non constructive critisism, if its constructive critisism thats fine but i normaly see post saying something similar to "Oh ThIs MAngA Is TRasH cuS ItS sO ClicHE" on a fantasy manga. like if you think its so cliche or whatever why do you even read fantasy? 90% of fantasy is cliche...

i read the comments cus im bored. i also made this thread cus im bored. i also cause chaos cus im bored. like this arguement for example, i made the thread to see how people will argue so i guess half of the things i say is not how i actually feel about haters? i dont know but im bored so online arguements it is

For some extend I agree with him stop hating, like what Hirokoshi receive is really bad.

But saying criticism is bad all together is something different entirely.expectingt me not to shitting on kanokari while series I excited for getting axed is like expecting bread not to get moldy

I must tell you, people are never happy; a person can be happy, but people are never happy.

From the mangas I translate, Hajimete no Gal and PEEP (both by the same author), I see people bashing the author in the comments of both mangas (Hajimete no Gal is surely sinking). In PEEP, especially, they even complain about the translation, they complain if there’s an extra page saying something, they will complain about every possible thing.

What I learned, and I’m sure the manga authors also learned, is that you have to filter what matters and let it go. No matter how good something is, there will always be bloody comment, there will be always someone, there will be always people.

back in v3 we had an immediate and surefire way to tell how to treat these guys. the big uppercase letters just don't work the same...

and if anyone wants to see only positive comments, go roll in the mud with the redditors
