I think it’s interesting that the doppelgänger/redemption/revenge themes of the historical drama in some ways are supposed reflect his own “second” life and the choices he continues to make

sorry to death?? this asshole sent a minor who had been horrifically abused by his family until he broke and killed them to death? and I'm just supposed to nod along like that had any valid reasoning? this chapter was great but wtf?! and the professor is still being portrayed as a good, intelligent guy when that has to be the stupidest, most psychotic shit I have ever heard. how the fuck was this good acting advice?!?!

literally taking one psych course or hell just having basic empathy would make you understand what could have driven a child to murder??????

clearly this boy wasn't murdering fucking strangers for fun.

I really like this whole thing. One thing you younger people need to remember is that it was not long ago that death penalty was ubiquitous, and that the value of life was very low after WW2. Things like CPA was very new, and any sort of notion of mental health (in the modern sense of the term) did not exist.

Your sense of values is the norm now, but that was not always the case.

I think it’s only fitting for a manga set some 40-years ago to actually reflect what it was like then, when you were talking to the older generation.
