I always found "I will never repeat the work I did in previous life" plot stupid. You know what can go wrong before you do it so you can plan around it so there's no point avoiding it

There is a thing called ‘Trauma’. MC thinks the reason his mother died is because he focused on acting instead of his mother. It’s pretty irrational if you look at it but that’s just how most traumas are. Sometimes you know it’s irrational but still can’t overcome it and sometimes you unconsciously make yourself believe it’s rational while it’s not.

Sure he may go anywhere with his mother and take acting again, but the entertainment industry is never an easy workplace. This story still gloss over some areas in production that puts stress and takes so much time to workers they sometimes can’t go home and focus on family. That won’t work on MC now that he was given a chance to treasure every living moment of her mother before she passes. Basically, MC is now afraid to take that same risk as he did before and regret everything again one more time.
