Hear me out on my theory, [spoiler ][/the reason why one or more knockers were missed by both Fushi and black hood. We were never told that all of Hayase's descendants can only bear one child and how the knocker is inherited. So what if, one mother could have three children? I'm assuming that they think only one of them must've inherited the knocker given the bulge in their left/right arm, but what if a piece of that knocker also exists in the other two children, therefore migrating to future generations without ever being known by either black hood/fushi/defense corps because it's so miniscule... And the knocker that at first was so noticeable became smaller each generation because it was being split up between the children. Also, as the knocker gets more split up the less likely the mother will die, which is why the first few generations only had one child, because the knocker was too big... Which is why we don't see such an obvious bulge in Mizuha's arm and why her mother is still alive. Perhaps this time Fushi will have to fight the entire human race, idk, I've had this idea since Mizuha first started scratching her arm, and I thought oh there's a tiny knocker there and maybe she has inhuman capabilities.

I get the feeling black hood is the last of a advanced race predating humanity. Maybe it's all a big cycle of battling knockers and using a "device" (Fushi) to restart after everything goes to hell.

The problem is, knocker is not like a bacteria that can self-splitting. If the knocker can transfer its body to fetus like grass plant-type by growing a shoot, then the theory might be different :

All Hayase's descendant will have knocker gen. But Hayase family make a tradition where they will kill or amputee all baby boy knowing that male body unable to be impregnated by Fushi if a baby girl from main line of Hayase was born. But somehow, in certain generation, that baby boy can escape and continue the knocker gen in different way. Thus, it spells another trouble where Hayase's descendant from that escaped male, get "immortality meme" from knocker gen just like what Hayase dream long time ago, to have immortality. Alas, the mechanism is different, knocker will self revive but living with different faie from its original body.

Remember in a few chapters before, there is a viral video shown in TV where a suicide man can revive itself after falling from the bridge.

I wouldn't surprised if later in the endgame of the arc, Hayase itself possess Mizuha after Mizuha herself is dead

@Raffro yeah, I wonder what bs will be used if it is hayase's knocker. If those knockers can die from a metal weapon or regular fire, there is no way they can survive lava.

@OSIDJ pretty sure the knocker was "passed down" by implanting it in the children, not via birth. It's possible it laid a genetic foundation somehow, or polluted the faie cycle of the Hayase clan, but I doubt the knocker itself ever passed itself down without leaving the mother's body.
