I feel your pain with that credit page. I have the same trouble with Japanese. Although I can somewhat talk to my friend in Kyoto (he speaks 0 English), I'm always having troubles with particles and sentence structure; also the frequent use of words that don't really have one definitive meaning in English. Well, not being able to read doesn't help... I also know that being able to read would significantly improve my speaking, it's just hard to find the time to teach myself.

Don't beat yourself up, this is really fine work on your part. You are easily in the top tier, and translating comedy is really really hard.

As others said. Pretty good job. If You can't get the subtleties across even though the translation is good, is mostly the language that is to blame. Language is pretty fuckin' imperfect. English in particular it's inconsistent and Japanese may be too ambiguous for it's own good.
