Love, the most lethal weapon...

@ImperiumZero Amen to that. Fiction is fiction and art shouldn’t be censored because of evershifting mores of the moment.

@Akemua And where exactly is the father and daughter in this series? Nowhere. Three chapters in and it's clear the girl doesn't view him as a father. At least it's clear to me. Nothing was clear in Usagi Drop before the time skip and what followed.

This comment section is pure cancer.
Not as bad as "I shaved, then i brought a Highschool girl home", but it's very close.

As for me, i don't mind. I just read and enjoy the story, whatever happen.

@Kaarme - Do I need to hold your hand and explain to you what adoption is? Do I need to explain to you why an adult that rescues, supports and raises a CHILD is now that child's guardian/parental figure? Cuz, I really hope I don't and if by the grace of intellectual capacity you can comprehend that all on your own, it should be clear that what people are referring to is synonymous with a father x daughter fetish.

Now, hopefully, I don't need to walk you through this either; people are not saying this is going to be another Usagi Drop. people are just expressing their opinions that they DON'T want this to turn in to something like Usagi Drop. Which, again, no one actually needs to read to understand the connotation is of a father x daughter "romance". And, by the way, since I'm sure I will need to explain this to you, based so far on your responses, he doesn't actually need to be her biologically dad. The point is the vibe and undertones of which it is trying to be, that of a father and daughter.

The icing on the cake is the fact she's like 11-13 and he's in his late 20's if not early 30's. This might surprise you, but people aren't all that into things resembling pedophilia. And it seems like the only thing clear here is that you WANT her to not view him as a father... Remember? We're only three chapters in. Derp a derp.

I really don't care that the author fro Usagi Drop trolled their readers and only openly opted to spin a "romance" late into the story after everyone had been convinced it was a slice of life about a newly adoptive father figure to a weird and innocent little girl.

TL;DR - Seems clear to me you just really want this manga to be another roricon and daddo figure "romance". Oopsies, lol.

@Akemua The heck are you rambling about? I said it's impossible for this to become another Usagi Drop because after mere three chapters it's 100% guaranteed the little girl loves the dude as a man, not as a father. In Usagi Drop it took until the ending portion of the manga to reveal that annoyance. This is a simple fact. How can you argue against it? It simply is what it is.

I don't want this to become a "roricon and daddo figure romance" story. What the hell even made you think so? What I'd like is for the dude to keep rejecting any romantic approaches from the girl or even be so dense he wouldn't notice. That being said, I have no idea how long I will keep reading this if the girl becomes too annoying.

@Kaarme - Was my point that hard to figure out? I mean, I LITERALLY just spelled it out for you, and yet you still can not understand? Well, I guess I'll try one more time.

The sole reason Usagi Drop was brought up in the first place and the sole reason it is brought up in stories like this, is because of the end result and the UNDERTONES it brought with it. The FACT that an adult and furthermore a father figure, ( whether the girl sees it that way or not is irrelevant) raises a child, then through intentionally or unintentionally child grooming eventually develops an attraction to the child he just RAISED. That's why, so stop spinning your ridiculous take on it. No one here really cares if she likes him as a father or as a man since she is a child. It's how the ADULT reacts to it that people are expressing their opinions by using Usagi Drop as a reference.

Now, was that so hard? Hope not. I mean really, cmon dude. It's the same concept for something like Dragon Ball Z. When someone says "this reminds me of DBZ" most people here are going to understand it means over the top action and crazy powerups. Even if they haven't watched it because It's that well known. Same thing for Usagi Drop. The connotation is adult (father) and child (daughter) like fetish "romance"

As for the last bit, ya, I was just purposely being an asshole. I thought the whole roricon thing would have given it away, but this just through text so for that I do apologize.

@Akemua Yes, your point is hard to figure out. I'll give a metaphor to try to make my point clearer:

Usagi Drop: You meet a person at a hobby related event, become friends, keep in contact with them for a long time. At some point you pool money together for expensive equipment for a bigger project. The next day the person is gone along with the equipment, and you will never see them again.

This manga: You meet a person at a hobby related event, but in five minutes that person makes it clear they are suspicious and you must be very careful with them.

In other words, this manga cannot betray any expectations because it made its nature evident immediately. Usagi Drop, however, seemed really wholesome for the longest of time, so wholesome it could be produced as an anime with a child voice actors (!) as long as they dropped the ending portion entirely out. Though I don't feel like defending Usagi Drop's stupid ending, but at least the time skip meant Rin wasn't a small child anymore when the romance began. It's nothing like this series' setting.
