I have been following the reboot, then also come back to this version for comparison. While most main plot points are the same, some parts, as well as the general execution, are different enough that you won't be easy to get confused. The art in the reboot is more polished than in this one, and also less "explosive" because the tone is changed to be more dramatic and less of Arata Iri's usual chaotic comedy (e.g. this version).
Just read both if you have time (there's not that many chapters anyway), for Arata Iri's cute art if nothing else.
