Wtf how do you have so few people in the sc
I'm pretty sure its already explained that most new recruit can't last long.

Most people that joins the student council actually aim for the position of the president and vice president. There's an elite club consisting of previous presidents and vice presidents that basically guarantee your future prospect. That's what most people running as president and vice president aiming for.

Alya's so cute trying to downplay Kuze, when we all know she'd love him to be a part of the Student Council. Yuki's such a tease though, and she really seems to want to hang around Kuze. I wonder what Kuze would even do as a General Affairs Manager though.

Yuki's baited Alya into trying to ascertain which of them knows Kuze best? Who's gonna win?

Touya san has a good reason to want Kuze in the student council. It's hard to be the only guy in a student council! The food in that restaurant look great too, so even just going there seems to be a boon.

The whole "Student Council adds to your resume" part really reminded me of Kaguya-Sama. Difference is, here, Kuze wants no part of that. Kuze's trauma really does seem to have harmed his motivation to do great in school. I mean, he's happy to be badmouthed just to avoid being part of the student council!

What makes her so sure he wouldn't side with Alya instead? I mean, she seems more inclined to respect his wishes to not join the student council.

Saved by the tsun.

Love the bell at the end.

Man, I love Yuki's personality so much!
I love how much of a piece of shit she is rn!

Especially knowing how she truly is
I haven't read any more than this, but she's clearly having fun. That's not exactly the style of someone with a vested interest.

Fun fact I learned from another series: Scouts do handshake with their left hand as a token of friendship because its the hand that is closer to the heart.

Whether this is actually because of that I don't know
I heard Baden Powell learned it from from Africa, where they held their shield with their left hand, so that's more a show of trust than using the weapon hand to shake with. Used to be a scout when I was young.

Some points for consideration after reading this prelude to Yuki and Alya's debate.

*Alya the Ice Princess can be utterly adorable sometimes. Too bad her downplaying of Kuze to be in her side instead was interrupted by Yuki

*Yuki, the manipulative gremlin, is quite skilled at stabilizing the mood. She really dived back into Kuze, redirecting the vibe from his gloominess to her cutesiness-with-another-demand-stuffed-into-it.

*Prez has quite a grandiose vision in how he portrays the Student Council, gorgeous photography with gold-coated framing and flowers...well, in his mind.

*Suou's eyes were pitch black as she stopped Alya in her tracks. Ooohhh scary

I can't get over the fact, 20% (1/5) of the student council is responsible for fucking PR. That sounds like some of these positions that exist for the sole purpose of awarding someone with a fancy-sounding title :dogkek:

That last panel, the president got his popcorn cup ready immediately, man of culture :meguu:

Easter egg Chapter 17: if you look at the top of pg 9 it shows a piano piece that the MC used to play. Using my detective skills, I concluded that it is Chopin nocturne op. 72 no. 1. (It’s nice to see that the author actually put a real classical piano piece in the manga)
