Fair point, but it would at least need to be natural, at least the asshole guy was quite natural in revealing a bit of Tokimori past, this one feels like someone throw a brick on your face, that's why people keep saying it's forced

Also, to be really fair as well, there are series literally just build on fluff romance alone that are on-going or sells quite well

Agree with the dislike for this new character. the ex at least had a purpose in showing up. Here she literally is just dropped into the plot to cause problems, and likely to have an easy solution as we already know she worked somewhere else (which probably ends up revealing that she was fired from there for similar conduct) and because the bosses here would have to be idiots not to know how valuable and capable Tokimori is and end up believing the newbie's lies about her being awful or something.

The problem isn't just that there's drama. It's that there's drama that doesn't feel earned and has no depth.
