I wish the author put a bit more effort into making his characters more distinct from Kenichi.

Tokiwa is basically Kenichi. He's a weakling without friends who'll eventually become very strong and popular. He also has the same hobbies (writing novels).
Machina is like Siegfried. Tall, long hair, incredibly devoted to whomever he chose to follow, and also incredibly weird.
Haruka resembles Hermit. A strong and mean tsundere with a good heart.
Yaegaki looks like the friend of the president of the botanical club.
Rein is a sci-fi Miyu. Same appearance, probably the strongest (though likely weaker than a master), has a strong connection to MC.
Suzuki Sennheiser represents Sakaki Shio. A master who does work for the government, and has a pretty rough personality.

It's like I'm reading some sort of alternate version of Kenichi...
