Why is no one talking about the conversation in the beginning of the chapter? TvT it feels like such an important information regarding the masterminds of everything that has happened

I’m really sad, although i understand, the mistranslation of the chinese characters, there is more nuance and meaning than just “see you later”
It means something like “if there is an opportunity, then let us meet again” (said in a casual way)
(that isn’t the best way to translate the last half of the sentence, but it doesn’t make sense without extending it)
but there is so much more nuance in that and i’m rambling it’s 3 am rn
