Thank you for the kind comment! We feel the same way, definitely a lot of potential and there hasn't been a Manga in a while that made me laugh as much as Tokyo Kinoko has. So we really are doing our best to give it all the love and attention to detail we think it deserves.so she is Saitama, but in a teenage girl's body riddled with social anxiety.
Also apparently bad at math, but, details.
I really like where this is going. Kino has the capacity to understand that she's stupidly powerful, at least, and her desire for a normal high school life should present an interesting wrinkle since no.99 is still hunting for her, and she'll undoubtedly still accidentally screw up and slaughter some Stranger and risk being found out.
But, the dynamic of all of this compelling, and the comedic elements are great interspersed with the action and (slightly) dramatic moments.
Thanks for the chapter - this title's quickly becoming a favorite to me.
Grandpa is passed, I think. But I suspect the gist is that Kino is the new #1, but he was the old #1 (or, if he passed pre-ranking, would have been.)Does she never wonder how insane that daily routine was? Though I guess raised in isolation with a group consist of only four people can warp someone sense especially if your role model tells you to or can do something insane by normal standard.
Make you question who her grandpa is. The monster appears 25 years ago, and they all live in Gunma all this time. Did that mean her grandpa someone famous or like her, he doesn't check the ranking and appear as UNKNOWN too. If so, what ranking?
Yeah, we can see from this chapter and chapter 2 that grandpa already passed. Still, if he #1 while alive is that mean #1 and #2 are UNKNOWN at some point or #1 UNKNOWN disappear for some time only for her to take its place.Grandpa is passed, I think. I don't know if it was explicitly shown, but the top spots of the roster might all be <UNKNOWN> at this time.Yeah, we can see from this chapter and chapter 2 that grandpa already passed. in that case, how are the monsters not already basically extinct?little sis being like oh you think she is busted strong lol want to suffer several layers of psychic damage
the hunting 4 different s-rank species to extinction is a different level of brutal
Make sense, but when #99 girl does exposition on why #1 don't check his/her ranking, she said that the strong are usually obsessed with their ranking and I don't think her sister is at top rank, she doesn't misread 4 for "a thousand", so she doesn't do those insane training daily. If there are two UNKNOWN from Japan in top 100 there must be a greater search effort, still can't deny that she is high rank at least.I don't know if it was explicitly shown, but the top spots of the roster might all be <UNKNOWN> at this time.
Kino's sister might also be at the top of the list, given her situation is very similar by necessity, and she's not on the roster because even at #3, she'd be hounded by the whole world.
Which means that most of the most powerful people are currently anonymous.
But yes, if Grandpa was #1, then his passing means he's no longer counted, and whoever was next in line would bump up the list, at least in terms of how I'd make the system work.
Kino's misreading the training regimen left for her by their grandfather just means she got insanely powerful and reached the #1 spot.Make sense, but when #99 girl does exposition on why #1 don't check his/her ranking, she said that the strong are usually obsessed with their ranking and I don't think her sister is at top rank, she doesn't misread 4 for "a thousand", so she doesn't do those insane training daily. Yeah, all we can do with current information is to make assumptions at the moment. Though the way lil sis react when asked is Kino is UNKNOWN before being interrupted at page 5 mean she knew something about it.Kino's misreading the training regimen left for her by their grandfather just means she got insanely powerful and reached the #1 spot.
IF the grandpa was the previous #1 (we have no way of knowing, but he gave that regimen to Kino, so ostensibly he was quite powerful/high up the roster when he was alive), then even the regimen as-is would make someone insanely strong. Kino took it to a whole 'nother level, but if her sister followed it at all as well (and, if she was stuck in the Shifted Place for any amount of time, she would have to be strong to have survived), then her being in the top 5 <UNKNOWN> is easily believable.
But we don't have that information yet, so it's impossible to do more than ponder and make up assumptions to guess at the truth. It's 3 chapters, so plenty to go (hopefully), but, yeah.
