I would be inclined to accept your reasoning if it weren't for the note on the bottom of the page on this chapter. Take a look, it responds to Dropout's own translation of the same page, which initially wasn't redrawn because of IRL issues, so they also posted a note saying that a V2 with redraws will be uploaded a day later (that note is no longer visible on Mangadex since the redrawn page is already up). From this we can conclude that the /a/ version was created after Dropout's, and apparently in response to it - as a taunt, at the very least.
This isn't an innocent attempt at translating something. This is a rivalry between two scanlation groups (the fact that /a/ scans are ad-hoc organized does not really make much of a difference), and we can already see where that leads when it comes to a daily manga: rushed releases, inconsistent quality and drama. The latter which I admit to be taking part in, but I feel that not saying anything will only make things worse.
