It's not like everyone else is just a mere walking trope at this point of the story. The manga is still entertaining, funny and makes a good read (at least for me), but anyone who expected more than that out of this will probably be disappointed.

@Yeah, people should accept that not every chapter will progress the plot. It happens to most of the wholesome mangas (Komi-san is another that people have been hating/complaining lately). I am enjoying the ride. I want to see Tomo grow little by little. She is just too innocent for her own sake.
