What was the point of this it was so underwhelming. It started good then the supporting couple stole the main character spotlight.

It wasn't awful but I do think the main couple took AGES and they didn't even have a proper kiss by the end.
It felt like the series was more focused on developing other couples.

That was okay. The main couple would've been fine if Kashiwagi didn't dawdle and lead the MC on for like dozens of chapters. This manga sorely needed a better female lead.

Second that.
But I still somewhat enjoyed this manga.
Watching Saya and Kazu was really sweet.
TBH it was somewhat painful to watch the way Sakuraba was treated the whole time.
And while I understand Sayakas motivation I still think it wouldn't have killed her to be a bit less aggressive towards MC.
Yeah, he did some stupid stuff, but not to the magnitude to give him a panic attack every time he hears Sayas voice...😓

The negative comments on this series astonish me, I too ask myself if this is the same timeline I have always lived in. Rubbish romance where no progress is made after 100+ chapters gets much higher ratings than this excellent story, I do not know why. I found all couples to be excellent and no main character felt unnecessary. I wanted to see more drawings at the end, as that is what got this story going in the first place, but otherwise I have no complaints. I enjoyed reading this, it no doubt is one of my favorites (bye, Maga-Tsuki!) It is regrettable that no English paperback exists.

9/10.
