I think when the translation said "Yes, I do!", the direct translation would be "Yes, like!" or "Hai, suki! in Japanese"
So it simultaneously can be interpreted as "I like you!" or "I like her!" which doesn't translate to English very well. The best I've seen is just translating as "SUKI!" and leaving a TL note.

All just say this... that was rather a fast development considering how things were. For him to confess like that... got me by surprise.
Dont quite understood Sayaka tho. Does that mean she knows is impossible for him? Cuz she definitely wouldnt leave him go after her otherwise. But Koto reaction at the end was not like she hated the idea.
