Eveyone is being harsh when there are literally no ratings under 6/10 except one...
Art is good, but the setting is a bit unoriginal. Himaten also started recently and has somewhat similar setting, but at least made it a bit more interesting. Though who knows how long that'll survive in jump.
I'm just happy for more romcoms I must admit.

who would have fucking thought that the weeb MC is going to look like that, thats certainly a unique mc design that I haven't seen in any other mangas
Right, I'm sick of all the nerd characters with distinctive identifiable features, unique physiques, and mould breaking personalities.
I'm so glad to see a manga be the first to stick to the stereotype, the cliche, the passe, the standard; we don't get enough of it! :dogkek:

I prefer when the high class girl is isolated by adults formed by society's expectations rather than her own peers who put her on a pedestal plus the trope of the angry lesbian, this situation makes the students look like mindless drones.

While i do agree the idea is generic, i can kinda let it pass first because the girl is not interested in him for being an otaku he just had the wierd luck of finding her 2 hours before the school actually started and this type of characters do tend to show more personality when talking about their hobbies, she being isolated from anything i can see her being interested in that vibe (not on force romantically), and second because it seems the plot is going more for a magical thing rather than a per chance seeing how she looks exactly like the manga character

not gonna lie, this reads like the quintessential generic loser meets amazing girl manga, but i'll bite cause im intrigued, these can't be coincidences right? there's maybe a supernatural or sci fi twist or something

I am already super invested in this. There's clearly something going on, and I suspect, shit gets meta at some point.
Kind of reminded of the one light novel adaption where the MC dies in a truck accident and isekais into his favorite light novel, and is a big fan of one of the losing heroines Sei-chan and literally proposes to her. My first thought like others was that there were some supernatural stuff going on since she's similar to the girl in the light novel and says the exact same things, but we'll have to see how it goes I guess. My first guess since she was drawing the school outlines and stuff was because she was the manga artist herself, but unless she's good at acting, that doesn't seem to be the case. Though she still could be, and trying to live out his fantasy or something I guess.

It's such a boring old trope to have this "princess" character and side characters being mad for talking to her.

So, I see. Love Mav★ is actually some sort of a future diary, or more directly what I seem to recall happening in Undead Unluck.
