I think this will go on for a LONG while, predicting at least 5-6 more years. The author is introducing new characters every volume and being pretty ambitious with the plot despite the slow pace+monthly schedule. Sales rankings are showing that this is one of the better selling recent romcoms so there's no real danger of the axe either.

I think the tragic part is she meant to say “It’s okay if you want to enjoy yourself too, it won’t be a burden for us.” And it sounds just like “You aren’t needed so it doesn’t matter.” To a person in the wrong headspace.

She feels useless doesn't she? She thought she was needed in the Cafe and hearing they will be fine without her made her depressed huh. This shit's too real.

I think that she has:

• problems interacting with people (spectrum),
• obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and
• abandonment issues (a serious need to feel wanted and valuable to compensate for a lack of perceived self worth)
