I appreciate giving some more depth to Nekozane's character but ultimately even a good idea needs good execution, altho in this case it'd be real hard for them to do something that would get me to dislike this, barely a remote possibility imo. Inversely I also don't think there's much chance for this arc to improve my outlook on this manga (really good manga), so I'm not particularly excited about what's next, it's not that I want complicated reasons for her social anxiety but a "captivating" portrayal of the issue and the reasons behind it.

If nothing else I think I'll reread the whole manga when the next chapter comes, regardless of what happens this is still a really good romcom manga. Ik this comment is a "nothing burger" of sorts but I'm just recording how I feel about this development in order to clear it up for myself. Would be cool if someone found it interesting tho.
