Shia's parents height difference is sus af lol
shias dad is normal, he's a thin 192 cm dude. relatively common in the west. i think it's the perspective of drawing that makes him seem that huge, since east asians rarely reach those heights
Eh… I’m a 2 meter (6’7”) tall American boy of European descent. I still feel like I tower over most people here in the States. I wouldn’t call him normal because I don’t call myself normal. But he is a bit shorter than me…

I’ll note I also have found myself interested in short girls, for whatever reason. My first (adult) crush was on someone around a foot and a half shorter than me, and most others I’ve had interest in since were of similar stature. Might also tie into the first girl to ask me out (to a school dance) was on the short side, too. Short and ‘thicc’, as the phrasing has become since then. The crush and other interests since were also built that way. ‘Shortstack’, I think, has been used to describe such individuals.

This Daniel living my ideal life, for the most part (short wife, but not ’thicc’). Especially the game dev part, as I wanted to do that ever since high school, but never managed it. Makes me a bit jealous of a fictional character.

I didnt even realize she was 17... by next yeat would it not be very odd for a 18 year old to be going out w someone that jst started high school(or however old tasuku is)
Their age gap is 3 years, according to the start of the story. He’s in second year of middle school, she’s in second year of high school. The implication has been that they still have a full year, from next spring, before she graduates. Before they both graduate. We’re still in fall, at the latest, of the same year as story start, far as I’m aware. This story seems to have a slow progression of time, while the relationship itself feels relatively quick (compared to other romcoms).

I will note that, depending on local laws, there might be allowances for around 3-year age gaps between minors or recently-minors in relationships (If only when it comes to certain activities, admittedly, which I don’t think either of these two are really worrying about right now). They’re usually referred to as ‘Romeo and Juliet’ laws. Ended up researching them thanks to stories like this one in the past. Arguably, this means they are potentially legally okay, not that they should have to worry about triggering such laws.
