I'm confused by something, when she says "By then, I'll have thought it through", she's taking about them going out, right? But when she uses "by then" is she talking about like before she goes to tokyo or when she comes back once in a while like she said?
It's pretty vague, she may even be talking about reconsidering the decision of moving to Tokyo.

I always like how the author portrays when Shia is embarrassed like when she said 'boo' and homeboy just stared at her. Usually in manga they don't go for subtle or realistic reactions like silent embarrassment quite in the same way as the author does.
On the other hand although I would support the author none of the volumes are in english AFAIK

Shia clearly recognizes Tasuku as the one that holds more sway over their relationship now. It's why she gets embarassed when these little pranks fall flat and she "loses" again. Stubborn girl refuses to kneel to the shotachad.

shias dad is fuckin huge
shias dad is normal, he's a thin 192 cm dude. relatively common in the west. i think it's the perspective of drawing that makes him seem that huge, since east asians rarely reach those heights

Man… What’s a cliffhanger! I want to see more. After last chapter, I would expect Shia to stay a bit far from our chad because of her answer(?). But in this, she started to make contact, and quite direct. Our boy must be in panic, questioning the whole universe!

Also, is this a monthly manga? Next chapter is May 16th …

Hopefully the story doesn't just end with a tearful goodbye and then a time skip, with them just meeting again years later grown up.

I'm sick of that cliche ending.

I wanna see their development through the years, not just skip to the aftermath.
I'll lose alot of points towards this series if it does that, its the most lazy and unrealistic way to do it. Feelings cool over time and all that and when you never see someone feelings for others can grow. So I never buy the "It's 5 years later, we've met again for the first time but we still ove each other" at least with Ichigo 100% they had it so they restarted from bf/gf as a starter but most are like they never left.

is the joke of the chapter, that he started understanding complex japanese, but her simple reply left him all in the clouds again?

The "frame" (page 10) is almost gone now, compared to early chaps :3
I have noticed that but couldn't make sense of that narrative device. What does this mean? That slowly but surely he sees her for who she is and not an idealised version?

I'm confused by something, when she says "By then, I'll have thought it through", she's taking about them going out, right? But when she uses "by then" is she talking about like before she goes to tokyo or when she comes back once in a while like she said?
I understood it as, she knew what he was worried about. There being finite time left and him wanting to have an answer so she told him what she assumed he wanted to hear, that she'll have an answer before the leaving date. It's cute because he didn't even mention it but both implicitly understood what the other wanted to express.

A big factor just casually dropped in this chapter, and I'm not talking about Shia's dad. She's leaving home to live by herself after high school which sets a sort of soft time limit, after which Tasuku's road to romance with her becomes an even steeper hill to climb. The thing is, the clock's been ticking for a while regarding that and he just didn't know it until her parents casually mentioned it. I hope he doesn't try to rush things again like before, but I'll see what he does with this information.
