My "Reading - Waiting" list has 284 entries but probably 1/2 to 2/3 have gone dormant as translators leave or drop them so that could be significantly pruned.

Most of my real mangas (not including the trivial one or two page per day throwaways where the characters really aren't important) have a characters.txt file where I make notes. Coming back after a month it's hard to remember anything.

I literally forgot who was the MC and, instead of going back to chapter 1, I waited until I read quite a bit of pages for it to become clear.

God, I hate colored pages so much. Be it original or fan colored. Something always just seems so off

Maybe it's like reading a book and then watching a movie? Subconsciously or consciously, You are filling your own details in the black & white, familiarizing yourself with that. Only to then be abruptly shown a different interpretation. I dunno... just taking a guess.
