Ah yes, the great cliché of romance manga: the secondary pair gets real progression and an amazing confession, while the main couple remains oblivious like mannequins, stuck on the classic “next year, let’s do it again.” Then, when the story finally reaches their confession, it either ends abruptly with something lackluster compared to the secondary pair, or worse—with a cliffhanger and no confession at all.

I've just dropped this from 8⭐ to 6⭐...
It has just run out of ideas, and it is just lurching from one clichéd trope to the next. With the foot rubbed from the sandal strap, I rolled my eyes so hard I could see my brain...
Also, now that I stop to notice, the MC is just a mild, effeminate, gormless void of a character. If Axe-kun doesn't land soon, I may drop this in the next couple of chapters.

I don't think so it's basically saying nothing happened over the entire summer even if they did show the various suer events it would feel like filler chapters just trying to make up numbers the beach episode the pool episode the picnic episode etc

Really? As far as romcoms go I think this one's pretty good, all the supporting characters are likeabke and the mc's are enjoyable to read as well. The pacings not bad for the most part and I find the comedy tasteful. Yeah it's nothing extremely unique or original but I'd be surprised if that's why you're here. You must have a high bar, what romcoms do you consider good?

Welp, he came for elite side. For me who consumed romcoms over one decade, I don't think this is like the bottom of romcoms at all, it's slightly above average from your usual romcoms. Don't ask him (if your question didn't mean sarcasm), I doubt he really like romance genre at all, he complained at almost every forums.
