Thank you for bringing it back here. I missed squealing and kicking feet discussing the chapter with everyone here the most.

That said, I think your translation might be a bit off based in how the story go so far on other site? Last panel should be Eguchi striking the deal back she will also choose Ikezawa’s swimsuit.

Also, ‘my high school’ is a bit off on this context since they go to the same school.
TL here:
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I probably messed something up halfway through the translation.
Think of it like a broken telephone situation… I’ll try to improve it for the next chapters!

What's the context with them?
Myleen tried sniping another series Boss, Booze, and Bright Stars from Senko-San TL group, but the product they delivered was rushed with improper grammar that just sounded disgusting and made the reading experience unpleasant, as it was mostly what seemed to be MTL with no knowledge on how to make sentences flow in english after translation. I remember the first week they were still beat by Senko-san, and they finally left after Senko teamed up with 2 other TL groups (Fap it scans, Les Poroïniens) that delivered quality translation vs rushed MTL crap the next week while Myleen tried claiming “victory” because they uploaded the translation first while the translations was… utter garbage and barely readable.

FYI - Mylene is crying a river for how MD got DMCA'ed and is making it MD fault. And then they moved [REDACTED].
Tbf jumping ship is a fair response, just like how MD shifting probable lawsuits to the scanlators by making them claim that they own the rights to the things being uploaded is a fair response.

At the end of the day, it's just unfortunate situation for everyone involved.

Moved to a diff website after the DMCA incident

Except they were uploading Booze, Boss, and Bright Stars here well after the DMCA incident. They only stopped uploading here after they got humiliated ruthlessly. Them trying to claim that is just a retcon and a cope. Meanwhile, actions speak louder than words. Look at the dates of when they uploaded BBBS and when the DMCA happened. Doesn't line up by a wide margin.

That is absolute BS. MD is not shifting anything. The one who hosts the content is the one responsible for it.

Not what I heard. I can't say for sure since I am not a scanlator and I have never seen the upload page for myself but this forum reply from this higehiro uploader account says that there's a box ticking necessity which has implications.
It was always in the T&C, the box is just another addition. Some say it was unrelated and the timing was only coincidental.
Also, if you look through their terms for C&Ds, its always been, and still is "send it to us and we'll handle it". The only thing changing is that before, they just took down the chapters, but now they send a copy of the C&D to the uploader. Yes, ultimately the uploader is responsible to take it down, but MD still takes the hit first. People just don't read the rules.

And you can't really expect the layman to really read the T&C until they're roped into trouble, can you.
Even then, jumping to another platform is still a fair option after all that happened. The DMCA scare, the confirmation over rights basically making feigning ignorance impossible, people already going to other websites to read the series that got hit and possibly follow other series there, makes sense to just cut off MD.
Even if everything has cooled off, there's no real reason to come back to MD either because everyone that wanted the timely updates already jumped the thankfully low hassle-hurdle of starting to use another platform.
Unfortunate situation 🤷‍♂️

Noone really reads t&c, anywhere. I can expect them, but I'd be naive. The point i was making was less about the uploads and more about MD still taking the hit from companies. The only thing I have a problem with is, others get spooked too without a reason.
Jumping ship is fair, I agree. The site is already in sight of publishers and you don't want to be part of the second wave if it comes.

Nice to read this without the british accent.
I don't care if they use British English...but it drives me crazy that Mylene drastically changes the tone by adding a ton of cursing that doesn't exist. Like a character will say "hey, check it out", and they'll translate it as "fucking hell, look at that".

They also have plenty of typos and errors, they throw in their joke panels flowing straight from the comic, they seek out money, etc.

Really not a good paragon of scanlation. So I'm happy that someone else is working on this too, even though Mylene is months ahead.

We're not shifting anything... In fact, if we get a takedown request we'll just disable access to the content and call it a day. And, in the hypothetical case in which we get a user information disclosure request (with the corresponding legal backing), the only information we have from our users is their username (publicly available information) and their uploads (also publicly available information), nothing more.

As for the content in the T&C, it's been like that since pretty much the start. If you check the equivalent documents from multiple social media and UGC websites, you'll see that they're basically the same (with some changes in wording here and there).
